A more than two week break without a game did nothing to disrupt the momentum for top-ranked Regina.

Regina jumped to an 18-3 lead four minutes into the game and rolled to a 67-20 win over Tipton in its first game of 2017 on Tuesday in Tipton.

The win was the ninth straight to open the season for Regina and improved the Regals to 7-0 in River Valley Conference play.

Regina forced Tipton (2-7, 1-7 RVC) into 15 first-half turnovers while taking a 43-12 lead into the break.

Greyson Dumont chipped in with eight points while Kennedy Wallace had seven for Regina.

Lauren Gaarde had six points in her first action since suffering a concussion against Mid-Prairie on December 6.
