Regina Runs Win Streak to Three With Win at Tipton

There is a long way to go in the race for the River Valley Conference South division title but Regina gave itself a leg up in that race on Tuesday.

Four players scored in double figures as Regina held off Tipton 78-72 for a key RVC South division win in Tipton.

Freshman Masen Miller had a career-high 20 points and Ryne Schooley had 20 points as Regina improved to 5-3 on the season and 4-2 in RVC play with its third straight win.

Tipton (6-3, 5-3) got a game-high 30 points from Logan Hoffman but it wasn’t enough as the Tigers had a five-game winning streak snapped.

Zach Seaman added 15 points and Jocoa Kerschen had 14 points for Regina as the Regals shot 57 percent from the floor.

Miller had five assists and Seaman, Kerschen, Jack Jensen and Bryce Barnett all had three assists for Regina which had 19 as a team.

Jensen came up with four steals for Regina.
