Crompton Pours in Career-High 29 points in Win over West Liberty

Regina turned in its fourth consecutive impressive performance to open the season on Friday.

No Regal was more impressive against West Liberty than junior Mary Crompton.

Crompton went 6-of-8 from 3-point range and poured in a career-high 29 points as Class 2A top-ranked Regina improved to 4-0 with a 71-20 win at West Liberty in a River Valley Conference south division matchup.

The 29 points by Crompton all came in the first quarters as Regina built a 60-15 lead on its way to its fourth straight win by at least 30 points.

Sarah Lehman added 14 points and Alex Wiese had eight points and 15 rebounds as Regina improved to 3-0 in RVC play.

Regina led 7-4 midway through the opening quarter but scored 16 straight points to end the quarter and take a 23-4 lead.

The Regals forced West Liberty (0-6, 0-5 RVC) into 21 first-half turnovers while building a 46-11 halftime advantage.

Greyson Dumont finished with five points and a career-high nine assists for Regina while Alexa Lehman had six points for the Regals.
