Regina Improves to 5-0 With Win at Wilton

Regina needed a little bit of time to getting rolling in a River Valley Conference matinee on Saturday.

The Regals got rolling in plenty of time to improve to 5-0.

Class 2A top-ranked Regina broke open a four-point game with a 24-points second quarter on its way to a 75-52 win over Wilton in a RVC south division contest in Wilton.

Mary Crompton led three Regals in double figures as Regina improved to 4-0 in RVC play.

Sarah Lehman had 17 points and Alex Wiese had a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds for Regina.

Regina led 16-12 after the opening quarter and held a 24-18 lead with four minutes left in the first half.

The Regals responded with a 25-6 run over the next eight minutes of the second quarter and third quarter to take a 49-24 lead.

Regina led 61-32 after three quarters.

Kennedy Wallace had nine points and Alexa Lehman added eight while Greyson Dumont had six points and six assists for Regina.

Hannah Christensen had 14 points for Wilton (2-4, 1-4 RVC) and Kortney Drake added 13 points for the Beavers.
